Bulls on the Beach

Rodeo to benefit Emerald Coast Autism Center

A very unique rodeo experience is coming to town later this month with the arrival of Bulls on the Beach. Featuring professional bull riders and fighters, this special event will take on The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island, April 23-25. Organizers say the rock ‘n roll rodeo will also feature pro rider Cody Harris of CMT’s Dukes of Cattle and Sweet Home Alabama reality TV star fame.   • Additional events include a sit-down dinner with “The  Cowboys” will be held at 6 p.m. April 23 at The Black Pearl restaurant. A portion of the $100 per plate dinner will be donated to  The Emerald Coast Autism Center and Horizons.
  • A military mechanical Bull Riding Contest will be held April 24, 5 p.m., featuring  members of our military as a qualifier for Saturdays “Bull Poker” halftime show. Admission is free. Waivers required of all participants. Members of the armed forces will play for $100 in cash as well as $1,000 donated to their  squadron.
  • Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the main bull riding event, concluding with fireworks.  After the bull riding, ticket holders 18+ get free admission to The Swamp for the after party  and live entertainment. 
  • Saturday’s festivities begin at 3 p.m. with meet & greet of the cowboys and vendors at a kid fun zone in the parking lot.
  • Let’s not forget the bikini bull riding contest which will start on the beach at 3 p.m. Those brave enough to ride a bull in a bikini will be vying for $1,000 in cash and prizes. Admission is also free to the bikini event.
