Easter Events Are Hopping Into Town

Things to do in Destin for Easter

Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons in Destin. Concerts at the Mattie Kelley Cultural Arts Village return, temps reach the low 80s, and cobia make their way through the waters of the Emerald Coast. Of course, one thing everyone looks forward to during spring is when the Easter bunny hops into town.

Easter events kick off on Wednesday, April 12, with the Destin Library’s Easter egg hunt. This egg-stravaganza will be held inside the library, and the Easter bunny will be on site to help kids find treats and door prizes. That Thursday, April 14, bring the kids back to the library for an Easter craft. Kids under 12 have the option to make an Easter egg decoration, or a Easter-themed refrigerator magnet. Remember to check-out a book while they’re there.

On Friday morning at 9, the City of Destin hosts its annual Easter egg hunt at Morgan Sports Center. If you have little ones, don’t worry, they can enjoy the fun too. A separate hunt will be held for crawlers and toddlers and they can also meet the Easter bunny.

Saturday, April 16, enjoy an Easter Bunny Brunch at Harborwalk Village. The prepared menu is a selection of spring favorites. Indulge in fresh fruit, an omelet station, roasted ham or spring lamb. Even the pickiest little ones will enjoy kid’s favorites including chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and cupcakes.

After brunch, spend the afternoon at Lulu’s, where the whole family can enjoy an egg hunt and free photo with the Easter bunny. Lulu’s festive Easter egg hunt kicks off at 2 p.m. Once all the baskets are filled, stay and play on the bay-front beach.

Easter is one of those holidays that brings family, food, and fun together, during one of the most beautiful times of year. Check out our events calendar to see what else is going on this month.
