Five Days of July 4th Fun in Destin
Destin’s 4th of July celebration goes above and beyond, just like our service members. We don’t simply celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, we celebrate every day in July leading up to it and then some.
Starting Saturday, July 1, spend your day on the white sand shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, Crab Island will be a veritable sea of boats as families take advantage of the warm waters, floating obstacle course, and sandbar snack shack.
Then, every night from 7-9 p.m., catch live music at HarborWalk Village, followed by fireworks over the Destin pass.
HarborWalk Village is located just behind The Emerald Grande at the foot of the Destin Bridge. On Saturday night, The Moon Lagoons, a Destin-based soul and indie band, take the main stage from 7-9 p.m. and fireworks follow their performance.
Grab a seat on the docks of the harbor for an uninterrupted view of the night sky. Or, even better, grab dinner on the patio of Harry T’s Lighthouse, Margaritaville, or Crab Island Cantina for dazzling views of the Destin pass and a clear view of the fireworks.
Sunday night, July 2, Dana Pointe Band, a rock ‘n roll group, will perform, and Monday, July 3, Kane and the Saints bring R&B flare to the harbor.
On Tuesday, July 4th, get ready for January Noise, a rock and pop alternative band, to bring your favorite hits to life on the main stage from 7-9 p.m. The night’s fireworks begin at 9 p.m., and Just Add Fire will finish the evening with a fire spinning display.
Then, on Thursday, July 6, HarborWalk Village hosts its Red, White, and Blue Hero Celebration. Starting at 7 p.m., enjoy the presentation of colors, recognition of an American hero, and World War II Vintage Air Show, plus another fireworks demonstration over the harbor at 9 p.m.
