Groovy Grouper Grill’s monthly estate sponsored wine dinners

imageWhat wine would you like with your dinner?

At the new and fresh Groovy Grouper Grill at Destin Commons we have found that on any given day much attention is given to the taste and presentation of the dishes the energetic and amazing chef prepares. It is VERY impressive for it to be a new place. But when you see who is behind this restaurant one shouldn’t be so surprised. Partner, AJ “Poppy” Tusa, and Managing Partner, Kevin Moran, both with long histories in the restaurant business. AJ has several restaurants in Louisiana and Destin; locally he owns Poppy’s, Hammerhead’s, and Roberto’s in Baytowne Wharf. Kevin, prior to Groovy Grouper Grill,¬†he was GM at Seagar’s, and GM at Fish Out of Water, to name his most recent 7 years. Kevin has a vast experience and knowledge of wine and food pairings, therefore hosts a delicious, fun, and enlightening Estate Wine Dinner each month. And another astounding part is he offers the 4 course dinner with 4 separate wine pairings from the month’s featured wine estate/distributor. You get much more than you might expect or that you have experienced before.

Kevin and The Groovy Grouper Grill were featured on Beach TV’s, “Did You Know?” See for yourself where Kevin explains the intricate and delicate coordination of wine and food pairings. ¬†

Join Groovy Grouper Grill and Kevin Moran this Thursday night, March 20, at 7pm. You will have a great time, guaranteed! Call Kevin for more information; 850-424-7172.

Also join the fun and learning EVERY Saturday at 2:30 for a weekly wine tasting for $20, no food pairings, just enjoy very well explained details about the various wines presented.

Sure! we’re looking for them in the area and posting them onto the site and calendar when we see them or our restaurants tell us. So glad you’re looking. Did you see the 2 coming up at Poppy’s during the Wine Festival?
