Let the Good Times Roll in Destin this Mardi Gras!
It’s almost Fat Tuesday and Destin is preparing to let the good times roll! Whether you live on the Emerald Coast, or just plan to visit for some delicious red beans and rice, we got some events you won’t want to miss.
The fun kicks off at the Destin Commons on February 24, 2017 with the Mardi Gras Masquerade. The good times will roll from 6-8PM and feature live music, kids activities and a parade. The shops and restaurants will also be open for enjoyment. Mr. Big and the Rhythm Sisters, a New Orleans-based group, will fill the night air with the sounds of jazz. The kids will love having their faces painted. At 7PM, revel in trinkets and treasures as the parade winds through the center of the shopping plaza.
For more fun, venture to the Destin harbor on Saturday. The 9th annual Mardi Gras Parade will take place at HarborWalk Village beginning at 2PM. Delight in the dazzling floats, costumed performers, and live music. Many of the restaurants will offer drink specials and it’s always easy to find great food at HaborWalk! The celebration continues at HarborWalk Village on Fat Tuesday, which lands on February 28, 2017. There will be a costumes pet parade, along with drink specials and free red beans and rice.
