Looking for “Things to Do” in Destin? Try HarborWalk Village on the Destin Harbor
The Destin Harbor EXPLODES with excitement for this much awaited season
For starters, this weekend, join Destin music lovers at the HarborWalk Village Main Stage for the 2014 Spring Break Concert Series featuring Gypsy Riot this Saturday, March 29, 7 PM to 9 PM.
There is something for everyone at HarborWalk Village. Check out the addition of abounding adventure choices! Announcing the new 500 foot Zip-line. This is no zip-line you have ever seen before. What makes it so special? It’s the design, the brain child of Christopher Christiani who has taken the two towers and made them useful too, adding a 40 foot digital rock climbing wall and also anĀ 100 foot “free fall”. So while your friends are zip-lining you can be rock-climbing while your other friends are free-falling. Genius… and the rock wall is digitized, as Christiani explained to www.iLoveDestin.com, it can be programed for a course to be plotted that you have originated so each climb can be a new experience. Now that’s cool!
More adventure comes from Kitty Hawk Kites who has paddle boards and kayaks for rental… but not just any paddle boards, try the under the board lights for night boarding. A fun twist to getting on the water. Kitty Hawk also offers a unique shopping adventure in their store chock full of fun. The store is host to several kite festivals and kite boarding clinics.
There is the addition of 2 new Destin Restaurants, the FAMOUS Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville and Jackacuda’s Seafood and Sushi.
Gorgeous renovations were made to one of Destin’s oldest structures. Hard to believe this was once the Wharf Restaurant back in the 80’s. This Margaritaville is so amazing with a view of the Destin Harbor and all it’s wildlife and fishing boats. And the food that we experienced was delicious!
Jackacuda’s is right next door to Margaritaville and until now, the only thing HarborWalk Village WAS missing was sushi… but not now! Very nice sushi bar and their promise is to serve the very freshest ingredients and produce. The fish is caught and served fresh as it can get.
So, from music to adventure to wonderful Destin Dining, HarborWalk Village is definitely a place to visit for “Things to do in Destin”!
