Seaside Hosts Nutcracker Auditions for 2015 Performance

SEASIDENutcracker2013_1The holiday town of Seaside is calling Northwest Florida area dancers, ages 8-18, to audition for the 4th Annual SEASIDE® Nutcracker. Auditions will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Seaside Assembly Hall located across the lawn from the Seaside Neighborhood School at 168 Smolian Circle, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.

The Seaside Nutcracker will be directed and choreographed by Ballet Pensacola. Seleta Howard, Seaside Nutcracker ballet mistress, will be conducting rehearsals. A rehearsal schedule will be made available at auditions.

For one of the many reason’s for visiting the Destin / NorthWest Florida area, what better backdrop and venue to work on a career starting experience of being in THE ballet! People travel from all over to try out and have this chance to perform and learn from lead prestigious experts in the art of dance. The one-time performance of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker in Seaside is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2015, and will feature Acts I & II. The performance is free and open to the public. This classic event is right up the street from the Destin area and should be high on your list of things to do while in Destin or Northwest Florida.
