TripAdvisor Names Destin a Top Destination for 2016

The Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce that TripAdvisor has had their eye on Destin, FL. In a news release they released on December 14th, they highlight that Destin sweeps the number three spot in leading travel website, TripAdvisor’s top 10 list of “Destinations on the Rise in the U.S.” Read here what the press release says. The annual list ranks travel hot spots that received the greatest increase in positive traveler feedback and traveler interest in accommodations, restaurants and attractions, across destinations worldwide.
“TripAdvisor is the dominant source of travel information on the Internet,” said Ed Schroeder, executive director of the Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau. “To have TripAdvisor’s customers agree with us is tremendous. Destin, and the rest of our beautiful Emerald Coast, is the destination of choice for travelers who want to have the idyllic beach experience.”
The ranking highlighted the “beautiful, clear green water” and “extremely fine, soft sand” that distinguishes Destin and the Heart of Florida’s Emerald Coast from other beach destinations. Points of interest included Henderson Beach State Park and the Destin Harbor Boardwalk. The site also provides visitors with “215 Things to Do in Destin,” a listing of exciting activities to incorporate into their itineraries!¬†
